Wendy2Wendy Hitchcock

Wendy Hitchcock, CEO and Director of Vascular Cures, has a long commitment to health care innovation from both a professional and personal perspective. Prior to becoming CEO in 2009, Wendy led public and private biotech and medical device companies, developing innovative products to address critical unmet medical needs including vascular disease. She was also born with an arteriovenous malformation in her brain, which was successfully treated with surgery. Wendy has an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and is a graduate of Brown University.

MeganMegan Patterson

Megan Patterson, Director of Programs, has a diverse background in biotechnology which includes roles in regulatory, business development, and project management. She established the U.S. office for Clinical Network Services, a CRO and consulting firm focused on late pre-clinical and clinical product development, and played a key role in establishing Coté Orphan Consulting, a regulatory affairs firm for orphan products. She has also been honored with several awards for her work with non-profits. Megan has degrees from Drake University and Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences.

LisaLisa Huntzinger

Lisa Huntzinger, Project Manager, oversees Project Voice, an innovative program designed to improve patient outcomes through digital health tools, patient-reported outcomes research and patient empowerment. Before joining Vascular Cures, she held operations and project manager roles for IBM and the Consortium for Service Innovation, a non-profit alliance of organizations focused on innovations in the support industry. She is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley.

katelynKatelyn Jackson

Katelyn Jackson, Operations Manager, brings experience in operations management in healthcare, social services and educational settings. She was Operations Manager at BrightStar Home Care, managing 70 office and nursing staff members. Katelyn also has a personal history with vascular disease and blood clotting disorders.

Carole A. Klove RN, JD, provides important consulting assistance to Vascular Cures in Clinical Research and Healthcare Operations.  As previous Director of Special Projects at UCSF Medical Center, she led strategic and regulatory targeted projects. She was Chief Compliance Officer at both UCLA Medical Sciences and Stanford Hospital & Clinics. Carole is also the Chief Nursing Officer for a Y Combinator start-up focused on improving consistency in health care delivery. She is a graduate of Duke University and received her J.D. from Southwestern Law School.

Deb_DDeb Doyle

Deb Doyle, Director of Marketing, is a brand storyteller. She crafts the stories that define an organization and connects it to their audiences. Through her consultancy, Stage2 Marketing, she has assisted a variety of for-profit companies like Varian Medical Systems and non-profit organizations such as Pacific Community Ventures. Prior to launching Stage2, she held senior account director roles at large and small advertising agencies. She is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University.

MollyMolly Kennedy

Molly Kennedy, Content & Grant Writer, is fascinated by the way language impacts the way physicians, patients and families approach medical care. She recently completed her MA in Ethics and Social Theory from the Graduate Theological Union. Molly’s thesis addressed medical decision-making for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, and she has a deep commitment to patient-centered healthcare and the importance of understanding patients’ diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. She is a graduate of Grinnell College.

Jenny_FangJenny Fang

Jenny Fang, Social Media Manager, shares our news and builds our communities through social media. Her background working at the Retina Macula Institute, the UCLA Department of Cancer Prevention and Control Research, and the Glaucoma Center of San Francisco, coupled with a degree in Neuroscience gives her insight about which messages resonate with our various audiences. Jenny is a graduate of UCLA.
